Some macOS system administrators are facing issues upgrading to macOS Big Sur 11.1, which was released to the public last week. As detailed by ArsTechnica, the bug in question causes the macOS 11.1 update to disappear from System Preferences. The problems seems to be that Macs are requesting the macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 update rather than 11.1: Upon a restart, the macOS Big Sur 11.1 update will reappear in the System Preferences application but then disappears again....

Developed for the Nintendo Switch by Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja and released on July 19, 2019, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order serves as a reboot of sorts to the popular Marvel-based action RPG series, taking place in a different continuity than the previous two games and pitting the heroes of the Marvel Universe against Thanos and the titular Black Order akin to Avengers: Infinity War....

Warner Bros. Pictures is officially moving forward with The Matrix 4, with Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss starring and Lana Wachowski directing. There’ve been rumors of a fourth Matrix film happening for years now, ranging from a continuation of the original trilogy to a partial reboot starring Michael B. Jordan. However, nothing’s actually come to fruition so far. In the meantime, Neo himself, Reeves, has enjoyed something of a career renaissance thanks to his role as John Wick and appearances in films ranging from Toy Story 4 (where he voices the 1970s Canadian stuntman toy Duke Caboom) to the rom-com Always Be My Maybe (where he played a comically fictionalized version of himself)....

Marvel’s Falcon & Winter Soldier series could be key setup for this year’s The Eternals movie. 2020 is the beginning of the MCU’s Phase 4, with the shared universe expanding in more blockbuster movies and a range of Disney+ TV shows. Marvel Studios has committed to a transmedia approach, meaning that these are expected to interlink as never before. In some cases, the connections are pretty obvious. WandaVision features Elizabeth Olsen, and is expected to be important setup for her role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness....

Mark Ruffalo has the perfect casting for She-Hulk in mind; it’s just that it’s not possible. A few months ago, Marvel head Kevin Feige announced She-Hulk, an MCU-set series planned for the new streaming service Disney+. Marvel already has a plethora of shows planned for Disney+, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki. Most of the shows in development follow characters already seen within the MCU, but a trio of newcomers will soon join the mix....

Spider-Man could have made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe much earlier, though not with Tom Holland. Over the course of 23 films, the MCU has introduced various characters from Marvel Comics, both heroes and villains, but many others haven’t been able to join this interconnected universe due to rights issues. Spider-Man, for example, couldn’t join the Avengers until Captain America: Civil War in 2016, after Marvel Studios and Sony reached a deal that allowed both studios to use the character (under certain rules, of course)....

This week NASA Social invited me to attend the State of NASA 2020 address delivered by Administrator Jim Bridenstine at Stennis Space Center in South Mississippi. Stennis is home to decades of engine testing including those used in Apollo missions to the moon in the late 60s and early 70s. Now the testing facility is being used to test the core stage of Space Launch System, NASA’s giant rocket being built for upcoming Artemis missions to the moon....

Mary Meeker’s Internet Trends Report for 2016 became available this evening, and as usual it serves as a great tool to analyze the ongoing battle between Android and iOS. Apple saw its first ever decline in revenue last quarter and Meeker’s report definitely takes that into account. One slide from the report shows the marketshare and average selling point difference. As usual, Android has a commanding lead in marketshare and shipments, while Apple dominates in ASP....

One of Netflix’s most groundbreaking non-English language series, Money Heist, follows the escapades of a group of mastermind criminals who, with the guidance of “The Professor”, are determined to pull off the greatest heist in recorded history. Money Heist drew to a close last year, with fans disappointed to see the show ending. However, a spinoff focusing on Berlin and a Korean remake are sure to keep audiences entertained. The characters of the original show are dynamic and interesting, each with their own individual traits that separate them from each other, making it easy to identify their MBTI® personality types....
